Get Clean AND Go Green
What’s better than the smell of freshly laundered clothing? Knowing they got that way through environmentally-friendly means, of course.
The Phoenix Business Journal reported Jim Mizera, owner of the local Martinizing Dry Cleaning, will open his second eco-friendly location on May 7th in Scottsdale. Like his first location in Cave Creek, Mizera’s Scottsdale site will use cleaning solution called GreenEarth instead of the toxic chemical perchloroethylene, which traditional dry cleaners use. "Perc" is listed as a carcinogenic compound by state, federal and international agencies, making Mizera’s decision to choose the GreenEarth product was an easy one.
The Martinizing Dry Cleaning chain has more than 550 locations worldwide and Mizera's new store will be the company's sixth in the Valley. The company encourages its franchisees to use environmentally friendly chemicals.
